Inflatables
Working with an individual using air as your medium offers a unique means for encouraging large motor movements, balance reactions, tilting reactions, motor planning and sensory integration. As a skilled therapist, one can often elicit just the right type of input via motion, bouncing, rolling or tilting, encouraging a specific response (better trunk control, a righting reaction, sensory awareness, visual tracking etc.). Some of our uniquely shaped inflatables offer even more unique advantages like the ability of the therapist and child to work together on a Physio-Roll™ or to work with a child in prone using a Physiopillar™. Ther-A-Shapes can provide quite the "ocean-like" feel, yet inflatables are not limited to the skilled therapist. Parents and other adults, as well as children can be taught to use a ball for therapeutic purposes as well as for fun. Most products that use air as their medium are also usually very easily portable and able to be sent home for use with a parent or for use in a school. They can also be used for multiple children and/or adults. A ball can go a long way! We offer you a variety of inflatables that can be used in a multitude of settings...even for just play. Remember using a therapy ball, Physio-roll, Physiopillar, Ther-a-shape™ or any of the other inflatables is only limited by your imagination and creativity.
